Bronze by Yossi Govrin.
A modest statue in the scrimmage between two parking lots.
Right next to a security gate,
like every major place,
hospitals, malls, museums,
daily reminders of threat,
people grow up with.
Behind the supporting wall of city offices
closing it from street view,
a large screen loops the incidents of almost 30 years back.
The assasination trembles on the bronze face.
Devastated people on the square.
State funeral.
The footage looped has not altered and invokes immediate recollection of worldwide broadcasted news resided in my brain for closely 30 years.
As large home screens present current conditions round the clock,
thunderclouds while separated in time
seem to rub against each other
trying to redistribute electrical charges in an impossible manner.
